MCAT Physical Sciences
The Physical Sciences Section is the first section on the test. This section contains a number of 200- to 300-word passages, formatted like journal or textbook articles, experimental research, data analysis, or scientific-style editorials. The passages are followed by a series of questions related to the passage as well as a number of stand-alone questions. The section is designed to test your ability to understand scientific concepts in new situations.
Physical Sciences Section at a Glance
This section lasts 70 minutes and includes 52 questions . You will need a good understanding of physics and general chemistry.

What About the Math?
Many people think that there are a lot of advanced math concepts tested on the MCAT. This isn’t true. All you’ll need is a basic understanding of general math skills such as algebra and trigonometry.
